Government of India seems to be exploring all the possible ways to depot Mallya from UK back to India. Vijay Mallya has debt of Rs 9000 Crore from Indian Banks and he sneaked out of the country last year. Home secretary Rajiv Meherishi today met with top UK diplomats in New Delhi and the hot discussion was the extradition of Vijay Mallya.
According to the sources, second permanent Home Secretary in the British Home office Patsy Welson met Rajiv at the North Block. Meeting was held just a day after CBI and Enforcement Directorate ED reached London with evidences proving against Mallaya’s owing of Rs 9000 crore.
Sources if believed. Indian agencies are working on two fold strategies to counter any possible move by Mallya seeking political plea to prevent his extradition in London as well as Delhi. He sneaked secretly out of India few days before the Indian Bnaks went to HC for pleas on banning Mallya to get out of the country.
Owner of defunct Kingfisher Airlines, was arrested in Scotland Yards In London upon requests from Indian Govt. to extradite “International Businessman” from UK, but got out on bail within few hours of his arrest.
