There are many films, I refused. Why are they not talking about it?
SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 changed the dynamics of the movie business in India, all credits to its colossal success worldwide.
However, a little less known fact is that actress Sridevi was first offered the role of Shivagami Devi. However, Sridevi reportedly pitched a high remuneration which makers couldn’t afford and hence Ramya Krishnan was got on board.
This news did come as a shock to everyone. However, neither the actor nor the director ever opened up about this issue.
However, Sridevi who recently went on a chat show to promote her upcoming film MOM was asked if she has seen Baahubali 2. Replying to which Sridevi said that she hasn’t seen the movie. She then further added, “But I would like to talk about this. It has become such a big issue and people are imagining things (as to why I have said no the film). I have my own reasons. First of all two parts of Baahubali have come out, and now they are asking me. There are many films, I refused. Why are they not talking about it? Why only this film? I will go there and talk about it.”
